We're still buzzing with excitement over the incredible teamwork and dedication displayed during last week's opening of our Reasor's store in Broken Arrow! This new generation Reasor's, led by Store Director Scott Norby, offers covered curbside service, self-checkouts, a drive-thru pharmacy, an outdoor grill and bar, patio dining, live music, and a family-friendly playground. The record-breaking attendance at our Grand Opening is a testament to the pivotal role this store will play in the community. We're committed to growing our company and further empowering our partners!

The 34th annual BGC Golf Tournament broke records this year, raising nearly $1 million for charity! We are so thankful for our vendor partners who joined BGC at two events this spring to raise $921,700 for charity. This brings the total funds raised to nearly $10 million since the tournament’s inception in 1988. Proceeds from this year’s BGC Golf Tournament will benefit hundreds of nonprofit organizations within our market areas.

In the wake of the recent tornadoes and windstorms that struck our market area, BGC responded by deploying our Community Kitchen and a dedicated team of partners to two of the hardest-hit communities. Over 2,500 meals were served to those affected in Claremore, OK, and Mabank, TX. Additionally, we distributed three truckloads of free water and ice to those in need. At BGC, we are there for our partners and customers in times of need and are committed to Building Greater Communities.

No. 641 in Lafayette, La., is now OPEN! The grand opening for the store was celebrated earlier this month. This is the 49th Super 1 Foods location and BGC’s 210th store! Congratulations to our employee-partners at No. 641!

BGC recently celebrated the opening of an in-store Starbucks at No. 51 in Tyler, Texas! This marks the first Starbucks inside a Brookshire’s store and third for the Company overall. Big shout out to our employee-partners who are serving at our in-store Starbucks!

The 34th annual BGC Charity Golf Tournament was held May 6 and raised over $825,000 for charities! More than 600 golfers, primarily representatives from our vendor-partners, participated in the tournament which took place at four golf courses in East Texas. The day concluded with a banquet dinner and silent auction at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center. All proceeds from the event will be donated to hundreds of nonprofit organizations, within the Company's market areas, that align with BGC’s charitable focus areas of hunger relief, education, family wellbeing, health and wellness, military and first responders.

As a finalist, Michael is also eligible to receive FMI’s People’s Pick Award for his community support.
