Happy National Radiologic Technology Week!! We are thankful to Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen, the German physicist, who discovered x-rays in 1895. Shortly after Roentgen's discovery, the first medical x-ray was taken for diagnostic purposes in 1896!! We appreciate those who, because of Dr. Roentgen now excel teaching the art of Radiography to our students!! Thank you to Dr. Chavarria and Barbara Genader at the Health Sciences Simulation Center who thrive at passing on the knowledge to our learners! Along with the many professors who join the simulation center and work with us in teaching such a vital field in healthcare, Radiography!! We love to see our Pediatric students here at 8 am on a Monday morning to learn Math! Roberto Perez Diaz MD is teaching them very important calculations and formulas used in Pediatrics to assess and manage a child's health. 🔹 Dosage Calculations- determining medication dosages based on a child's weight. 🔹 Fluid Requirements- Calculating intravenous fluid needs based on a child's size and condition.
