Betsy, Community Liaison, recently attended a training at Pride NC in Greenville, NC to educate them on the services that we provide at Brynn Marr Hospital. They especially liked the coffee mugs filled with goodies!

Last week, our team visited the Transformation Village founded by the ABCCM - Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry. This incredible facility gives hope to many women struggling to stay housed by offering free shelter and meals. The program also provides specific resources for female Veterans and their children. During the visit, our team learned about incredible programs on-site, such as a satellite college program, case management, Veteran benefits, and vocational support. We are grateful to connect with such a great program that enriches the lives of those who served. Betsy and Donna, from our Business Development team, represented our facility at the Annual South Eastern Summit for Behavioral Health in Wrightsville Beach. The conference brought together a variety of mental health providers who serve people in the state of North Carolina who are suffering from mental health issues. It was a great time to exchange resources and educate attendees on the great services Brynn Marr Hospital, Holly Hill Hospital, and Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services provide.

On Saturday, we sponsored a "Veterans Suicide Prevention Walk" in Salisbury and shared information with those who served on accessing critical resources. "Supreme Strides" honors those who are lost and brings the community together to spread suicide prevention awareness. Participants chose to do up to 22 laps to recognize their loved ones and those impacted. We are proud to stand beside our Veterans and their families to ensure they feel safe and supported in their time of need.

At Brynn Marr Hospital, we support the children of Active Duty and Veteran service members. We serve ages 5 - 17 and help them cope with stressors they may experience. Pictured are Brittney, Director of Admissions; Kori, Director of Clinical Services; and Vickie, Director of Process Improvement, our staff members who come from Military families and take pride in serving those who served us!
