In 2017, KMA completed construction on Sunflower Fields in the suburbs of Harrisburg, PA. Sunflower Fields is an affordable housing neighborhood comprising 35 single-family homes centered around a one-acre community garden. There are various configurations, including 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom units. As well as ADA-compliant and fully handicapped-accessible units. Additionally, each home has a 1-car garage and a front porch! Sunflower Fields' energy-efficient construction exceeds EnergyStar requirements by 10% and the neighborhood earned an Innovation in Design award from PHFA.
