Buccini Pollin Group mentioned in Pittsburgh Post-Gazette "As he stood outside the glossy glass gem that is the FNB Financial Center at the former Civic Arena site, Chris Buccini could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Nearly five years after his company first inked a deal to build it, after countless tense community meetings, after the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent crash of office markets here and nationwide, the 26-story skyscraper is ready to open. 'It’s almost like Christmas,' said Mr. Buccini, President of Buccini Pollin Group, the developer behind the project." Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/e6fWcn-S

The Quoin has received a MICHELIN Key rating! Similar to the MICHELIN Star, which recognizes the most outstanding restaurants in the world, the MICHELIN Key does the same for outstanding hotels. Judged on excellence in architecture and interior design, quality and consistency of service, overall personality and character, value for the price, and contribution to the neighborhood or setting, The Quoin has earned a One Key rating from the prestigious travel guide. "Wilmington, Delaware flies under the radar for a number of reasons, but boutique-hotel aficionados have at least one reason to keep it on the list: the Quoin, a Romanesque bank building in the historic downtown center, now renovated by the Philadelphia-based Method Co. and Stokes Architecture + Design into a warm, livable, and richly detailed boutique hotel." Yesterday, BPG, along with BPGS Construction and ResideBPG, celebrated the topping out of their latest residential development in Downtown Wilmington, The Press. During the ceremony, a structural beam was raised and installed to the top of the 14-story building, signifying a major milestone in the development of the 243-unit multi-family community coming to 801 N. Orange Street in the Summer of 2025. Prior to remarks from Mayor Mike Purzycki, BPG Founder Rob Buccini, and BPG Executive Vice President of Development of Michael Hare; guests, neighbors, and project partners were invited to sign final structural beam installed in the building elevator shaft on the 14th floor. The beam was adorned with an American flag and evergreen tree as per topping out tradition before being raising by the 241-foot-tall tower crane. Designed by Perkins Eastman, the $90 million development will feature studio, one, two, and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes across the 1.15 acre site. “Our City continues to grow in ways we haven’t seen in many, many years. Businesses large and small continue to move to Wilmington, and more and more people are choosing to make their home here. Our Downtown neighborhood, which continues to be the beating heart of the City, is seeing a population explosion that is having positive ripple effects across all our neighborhoods, benefitting everyone,” said City of Wilmington, DE Mayor Mike Purzycki. “I again thank our friends at BPG for investing in this ambitious housing project and drawing still more residents to town, and also for recognizing the history of this area through this impressive new building’s name, The Press. I share their boundless confidence in Wilmington’s future.” Learn more about the development on our website www.bpgroup.net.

"The Lower Hill District redevelopment in Pittsburgh, led by Clay Cove in partnership with the Buccini Pollin Group and Fenway Sports Group, stands as a powerful example of how sports-anchored development can help heal the wounds of past urban renewal efforts. This 28-acre site, adjacent to the PPG Paints Arena, is being transformed from a symbol of community division into a mixed-use neighborhood that promises to reconnect the Hill District with downtown Pittsburgh." As the 2024 Olympic Games come to a close in Paris, the question arises: What happens to the colossal structures now that the crowds have dispersed? Historically, these venues have embodied a "build it and they will come" mindset—designed for sports and entertainment but often left dormant afterward. It's time for a paradigm shift. The future of this asset class lies in 'raising the floor'—a fundamental change in how we assess their economic impact. Rather than focusing solely on the stadium's balance sheet, this approach emphasizes the value of integrated, mixed-use developments anchored by sports or entertainment venues, which can significantly boost the surrounding economic landscape. In this essay, we explore the market dynamics and investment strategies that are driving forward-thinking investors and developers to create consumer-driven projects. These developments not only deliver strong financial returns but also become vital community centers, cultural hubs, and engines of economic growth.
