Celebrating Women In Coffee ❤️ At Buddy Brew, women play a vital role in what we do, on the frontlines and behind the scenes. Let’s start with the farmers from whom we source our specialty coffee beans. In many parts of the world, the business of coffee farming is still primarily the domain of men, despite women contributing greatly to the planting, harvesting and processing of this valuable commodity. That trend is shifting, and we are seeing more women farmers taking on leadership roles in the industry. As part of our Brew Good, Do Good mission, we intentionally source coffees from women farmers and women-owned co-ops whenever possible, and invest in them year after year to keep this trend moving in the right direction. Our friends at Long Miles | Specialty Coffee Producers in Burundi, East Africa, are a big partner in that mission. American couple Ben and Kristy Carlson founded Long Miles in 2011 and are known for producing top quality Burundian coffees. They are singularly passionate about developing and nurturing the coffee industry in the region, including supporting the rising tide of women farmers. Happy Wednesday #TampasDowntown! We're back with another bike-friendly business spotlight in honor of #FloridaBikeMonth. Every week this month, we've been highlighting a bike friendly business in Tampa's Downtown. This week, we're showcasing Buddy Brew Coffee, which is located in Downtown's Park Tower! Ground-floor merchants are an important part of our Bicycle Friendly Business program. Locally owned Buddy Brew Coffee was one of the early adopters and put a great twist on the customer incentive to bike there. FUN FACT: If you show your helmet at the register, you can save 15% off of purchases! We can't wait to highlight another business next week, so be sure to stay tuned! What’s in your cold brew? Cold brew coffee is the hottest thing in coffee these days. A 2023 study says the cold brew coffee market is projected to grow from $3.16 billion in 2024 to $16.22 billion in the next decade. Coffee consumers, particularly millennials, are trading in their hot or iced coffee order for cold brew, and supplementing their caffeine habit with ready-to-drink cold brew coffee in bottles and cans. As the producers of BOLT ready-to-drink cold brew in nitro and original, we take cold brew very seriously, and we’re happy to see consumers joining us on our cold brew journey. Many ready-to-drink cold brew brands on the market are made with low-quality, mass-produced coffee beans. A heat process is often used in pasteurization, further degrading the taste, so sweeteners, flavorings and chemicals are added. BOLT has just two simple ingredients: organic world class specialty coffee and water. We source our coffee directly through smallholder farmers and women-owned co-ops to ensure BOLT has an exceedingly fresh, smooth and clean coffee taste. We also use a proprietary cold brewing process that maintains the beautiful tasting notes in every bean. Don’t expect to see any sweeteners or fillers on our label, because BOLT doesn’t need them — It tastes amazing. If you’re just now hopping on the cold brew trend or looking for an exceptional cold brew experience, we hope you’ll try BOLT. It’s great on its own but also can serve as the base for your favorite coffee drink or coffee-based cocktail. You can find BOLT, in original and nitro, in the refrigerated aisle in a grocery store near you, including: all Sprouts Farmers Market stores nationwide; Winn-Dixie stores in the Southeast; and select Whole Foods Market stores in Florida. BOLT is also available at all Buddy Brew Coffee locations.

We had a blast filming with Bay News 9 for a segment of Feel Good Friday that aired last Friday, January 26th, ahead of the long-awaited Gasparilla Parade. The segment featured our Gasparilla menu, a limited-time, pirate-themed drink menu that our Tampa natives have been loving. We will have this menu now through the month of February, so check it out before they're gone until next Gasparilla season! Watch the full segment here: https://lnkd.in/etVzNNnb

Better late than never, here's a recap of some of our favorite moments from 2023: • Opened our ninth cafe inside of the USF Judy Genshaft Honors College AND launched Bulls Blend — a unique and proprietary blend created just for the University of South Florida. • Celebrated 13 years of Buddy Brew Coffee! For the past 13 years, it has been our goal to share joy and inspire hope with you through the simple joy of a great cup of coffee. We are excited for the future and many, many years to come! • Visited The Simonelli Group plant and headquarters in Belforte del Chienti, Marche, Italy! Our founders, Susan and Dave enjoyed a wonderful visit with our friends at The Simonelli Group to plan and strategize for the first ever Victoria Aruduino studio in the US. • Exhibited at Coffee Fest in Orlando, Florida! Our founders, Susan and Dave, along with team members from every department at Buddy Brew Coffee had a blast announcing the launch of our new Buddy Brew Academy and showcasing Buddy Brew espresso, coffees and BOLT cold brew with our friends (old and new) in the specialty coffee industry. • Presented a $10,000 check to our friends at local, nonprofit Onbikes, Inc, our largest charity donation to date. We are so grateful for this long-standing partnership. We have three seasonal collaboration coffees that benefit Onbikes, including Freewheelin' Roast, Shipwreck Roast, and Joyride Roast. Our Buddy Brew team also had the joy of working hard for the annual “bicycle build”, preparing hundreds of bikes for kids in need. Our founders were thrilled to join in a processional with the Onbikes float and three box trucks stopping at community centers to give out the bikes as Mayor Jane Castor called each child by name. What a joy to see these smiling faces as most kids received a bike for the first time ever! • Opened the Buddy Brew Academy powered by Victoria Arduino right here in Tampa, Florida at our Kennedy cafe. The academy is a gallery-style Victoria Arduino showroom that serves as a tech and learning lab, a retail space, and a training center. Did we mention it's the first ever in the United States?! • Celebrated Buddy Brew Coffee team members' tenure at our annual Christmas Party. We presented our tenured team members with special aprons and pins to represent each year they've been with us. The next time you're at one of our cafes, checkout the pins on our baristas' aprons! We could go on and on, but these are a few moments from 2023 that we will never forget! Cheers to 2024 — we can't wait to see what's on this list at the end of the year. We’re off to a great start❤️
