I just kicked off a new recruitment with the City of Garland, Texas for a Building Official position. The salary range is $125,000 - $150,000+/- and the deadline to apply is Monday, August 12th. This role will manage the Building Inspection Department with an annual budget of $1,728,857 and 16 FTEs. The new Building Official will be responsible for directing the operation of personnel, budget, and resources, along with responding to questions regarding permits, building codes, inspections, and fees. This position is also recognized as the principal building construction and enforcement expert in the organization and may also provide oversight for the Code Compliance Department.
