    After three years of being organic, we finally launched our first ever campaign. It cost nearly twice as much as expected. It’s the first time we’re spending marketing dollars outside of basic PPC on Amazon. And it doesn’t even feature our product or its innovative features. Instead, it’s all about the people who use and benefit from Buoy the most: people living with chronic illnesses. —— Our sixth customer was a mom whose daughter was recently diagnosed with POTS. She used to take 5L of SmartWater to high school every day. With Buoy, she reduced it to 1L. And reduced her number of episodes. We knew we could help. So we offer deep discounts to anyone managing a chronic condition. And we donate one bottle for every one sold on our website to a nonprofit supporting the cause. But this campaign targets this community's biggest problem: People with chronic illnesses feel invisible. —— To Be Seen, Buoy’s first-ever campaign, spotlights those fighting silent battles. Featuring four creators upending chronic illness culture on TikTok. This short film is a coming of age display of navigating high school with a new diagnosis. Discovery phases of chronic illnesses often happen in adolescence and can be the most isolating experience of a person’s life. Speaking up about these conditions takes a tremendous amount of courage and vulnerability. Our society hasn’t always created the space to listen and learn from their stories.
