About us
Burial Beer Co. started out as Asheville's best kept secret in 2013, a “secret hideaway” that you stumble upon. Located in Asheville's, now named, "South Slope'' neighborhood, Burial has become a draw to many; a place of community. When it comes to our beer, we have a deep desire to memorialize certain beer styles and techniques from the Old World. Now Burial is known for taking traditional beers and infusing a modern twist on them. Since 2013 Burial not only expanded internally but demographically. In addition to Asheville's taproom, you can now visit us in Raleigh at The Exhibit, East Asheville's Forestry Camp Bar and Restaurant, and in Charlotte at The House of Relics. The recently resurrected historical Asheville property from the early 1900's is now known as Forestry Camp Bar and Restaurant. The ingredients used at our restaurant, much like the influential history of the property have a story. They have an origin and a meaning. Your visit here will transport you to a time where simplicity was honored, communities were connected and local farms were our life source.

Something fleeting for those who like to take the deep dive. We recently received 1,800 lbs of central California apricots. Hand processed and aged with house culture from our South Slope foudre, this small batch mixed culture beer will be bottled exclusively for our Burnpile VIP ticket holders this October. VIPs will also be receiving a Bourbon Barrel-Aged Stout from select stock as part of their take-home package. Less than 50 VIP spots remain, so if you'd like to secure these offerings, click here https://lnkd.in/etkEEqQA

A spark dancing on the edge of chaos. In its glow, we find both the end and the beginning. Burnpile Wave Two is here, shining more light on our largest lineup to-date. Our 2024 Beer & Music Festival is more than halfway sold out, with less than 50 VIP Tickets remaining. Don't miss out on our favorite day of the year. https://lnkd.in/ebHFJekq

Old ideas are poisonous, leeching into your monotony with mundane repetition. That, we lay to rest. The Fortress of Immaculate Thought. A Barrel-Aged Sour Ale with Blueberries. This year, our endeavor with the wonderful dark fruit of our mountainsides is blended upon beautiful golden sour ale, allowing the fruit to not conflict with darker, more complex malt, and being vulnerable to showcasing its raw spice and wild character. This golden ale was brewed with local raw wheat and barley and brewed with house-aged Hallertauer hops before sitting in neutral oak barrels for over a year. We then aged the beer with 1,800 pounds of fresh local blueberries for many months before bottle conditioning brings it to its final composition. Search for fresh harvest Beaujolais, dried raspberries, mixed berry smoothie, and a waft of blueberry kush. 7%. Entombed in the past, awaiting the reckoning. A passing of the time, of the torch, and of the realm of ideas.

For what is decay but a stunning metamorphosis. Macabre Psychedelica. A West Coast Pilsner. Conceptualized with our dear friends @fastfashionbeer to celebrate two years of @burialclt. Mashed exclusively with German pilsner malt. Hopped in the kettle with Saaz and Nelson Sauvin. Dry Hopped with Cashmere, Citra, and a double dose of more Nelson hops. Scoops of honeydew shaved ice drizzled in fresh squeezed tangerine juice and garnished with white grape hi-chew. 5.6%. Visions of the afterlife both lucid and distorted. Dread transformed into curiosity through a vivid lens.

These roots permeate deeper. The House of Relics is turning two. Celebrate the Second Anniversary of @burialclt on Friday, August 16th. Enjoy two commemorative beer releases, a Pop-Up by @mondaedesigns, and tunes provided by @jovercash. The party kicks off at 7 PM and we’ve got one hell of an evening planned for you. See you then.

Aim far outside. Land inside your mind. A World of Intention Lost To The Jaws of Urgency. A Double IPA. A collaborative tale with @enohammocks. Smattered with a dap of XTRA MAYO. Made to represent our foray into Asheville's summer fields. You tell us what it tastes like. 8%. Take all your purpose and follow it without question. Never linger in the distractions.

What means. And to what end. Will we fade. When Destiny Fails and We All Disappear. A Double IPA disappearing into the grasp of the Heavy Resin. Whirlpooled with Incognito, Cryo and Phastasm powder. Double Dry-Hopped with new harvest, hand selected Motueka, El Dorado, Mosaic, and Mosaic Cryo. Lemon lime granita topped with watermelon sour patch kids and a berry punch floater. 8.5%. The journey of serendipitous intention is often wielded with the ego. An odyssey paved in good intentions. Yet unraveled by the flaws of human thought.
