Becoming a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) can be a complex process, but the community impact is undeniable. FQHCs provide vital healthcare services to underserved populations and receive federal support through enhanced Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements and participation in the 340B Drug Pricing Program. The application process involves: 1️⃣ Applying for a New Access Point (NAP) or Service Area Competition (SAC) grant – These grants are essential to securing FQHC status and federal funding, but they are highly competitive. 2️⃣ Meeting operational and service delivery requirements – FQHCs must provide comprehensive primary care, offer a sliding fee scale, and ensure services are available to all, regardless of ability to pay. At Burrows Consulting, we take the guesswork out of the process. From initial assessments to grant submissions, our team of experts helps healthcare organizations navigate the journey to becoming an FQHC or FQHC Look-Alike. We understand the challenges and are here to simplify each step, so you can focus on serving your community. We love being able to help community health centers so they can continue to focus on helping everyone else! Great work!

🔥 Hot off the presses: Who do Community Health Centers serve? Our popular infographic is updated annually with new federal data about the patients served by health centers, the people who work at health centers, and more. Community Health Centers are nonprofit, patient-governed organizations that provide high-quality, comprehensive primary healthcare to people living in areas with few primary care providers. THCC’s School Based Healthcare Program is like having a doctor’s office within your child’s school. For students without a primary care provider, this program is available as an alternative option for your child. Our staff would love to care for your child as their primary care provider. If a student is sick, they have the opportunity to be treated without delay! A student that is healthy and shows up for class is better equipped for academic success.
