First Hybrid Research Showroom Open for Business in Indianapolis Business Furniture+ Co. has officially opened its doors to showcase a fully functioning hybrid office, including state-of-the-art video conferencing technology, focus rooms designed for virtual calls, and an unassigned- mobile work environment to meet the needs of remote and hybrid employees. Hybrid meetings are now the most common type of meeting in the office. According to Steelcase Global Research, 56% of meetings are hybrid, meaning people are in the office and remote. "We researched, asked the questions, and discovered how hybrid will work for our team. Now we feel ready to help our clients discover their hybrid strategy and create spaces that work," said CEO Mary Beth Oakes. The Business Furniture+ Co. showroom is located on the city's northwest side at 8421 Bearing Drive, Suite 200. The office is 14,000 square feet and connected to a 55,000-square-foot warehouse. Vice President of Audience Development and lead designer on the project, Hannah Freiherr, said, "Our space wasn't working for our teams anymore, and we know we aren't alone as we all face challenges of true hybrid work. We created a space with a sense of inclusion, comfort, and belonging so our employees want to come to work- we focused on creating a magnet, not a mandate." Business Furniture worked closely with its change management and workplace strategy department, Choreo, to determine new protocols and meet the needs of its team. "The biggest change is we are now 100% unassigned office space, meaning there are no designated workstations, from the CEO and on. With hybrid, we want to be flexible and leverage our real estate to its maximum potential," said Oakes. The new hybrid Showroom focuses on creating spaces for collaboration and focus spaces knowing employees need to flip between both in a workday quickly. The Business Furniture + Co Showroom is now open to guest visits. Book an appointment here: http://bit.ly/3X50mI0 #whatsyourhybrid
