Celebrating Our Graduates: Spotlight on Anna Arriaga As we prepare to welcome new students this fall, we're taking a moment to celebrate our incredible recent graduates, like Anna Arriaga. Her passion for community and creativity led her to found YUMMY Run Club, a unique group that combines running, food, and connection. Recognizing a gap in inclusive and casual running groups, Anna launched YUMMY Run Club in May 2023. What began with just a few members has grown to a thriving community of over 450+ runners, with new faces joining every month! The club's magic lies in its post-run tradition—after every run, the group gathers at a local small business for snacks and socializing. It's all about fostering community, building connections, and enjoying delicious treats. Anna’s innovative spirit earned her the Innovation Award at the SOC Awards Program. Now pursuing a master's in Food Studies at New York University, she’s expanded YUMMY Run Club to NYC while the Boston chapter continues to flourish under new leadership. Meet Anderson Hauptli, an interdisciplinary studies major at the Marlboro Institute and a proud member of the BCE family. Emerson was Anderson’s dream school, and he made the most of every opportunity from his first year, working behind the scenes on film sets and confidently leading productions. Anderson discovered his passion for Talent Management by the end of his sophomore year. He loved being a friend and advisor, helping creatives achieve their dreams, saying, “My dream is achieving their dream.” Anderson’s dedication to supporting others shone through in everything he did. Beyond the classroom, Anderson was an avid DJ and hosted his own radio show, “Andy’s House,” dedicated to House Music. He drew inspiration from artist Keith Haring, who used art to advocate for social issues. Anderson’s philosophy, “to give people the confidence to show off their hard work,” reflected his admiration for Haring’s approach to communication and marketing through art. The BCE program left a profound mark on Anderson’s journey. Courses like BC205 Business Fundamentals with Bob L. gave him a comprehensive business understanding. At the same time, BC310 Marketing the Creative Enterprise with Kimberly Lorusso honed his marketing skills, enabling him to promote his work and himself effectively. Anderson’s journey is a testament to the power of passion, hard work, and the support of the BCE program. He was dedicated to shining a light on behind-the-scenes talent and helping others succeed. As we welcome new students this fall, we celebrate graduates like Anderson, who have paved the way. Anderson is currently a Junior Account Manager at MKTG in LA, where he leverages his talents to help brands move at the speed of fans. Check out Anderson’s website (andersonhauptli.com) for more incredible work!
