Make a positive impact in the fight against hunger – donate a jar of peanut butter at The Cheesecake Factory! For the month of September, The Cheesecake Factory will be holding a Peanut Butter Drive for Feeding America during Hunger Action Month. The Cheesecake Factory Oscar & Evelyn Overton Charitable Foundation (the “Foundation”) supports Feeding America® through donations of wholesome, non-perishable food to food banks in communities across the country. This year, the Foundation is striving to collect more than 100,000 pounds of peanut butter during Hunger Action Month in September—just in time for back-to-school lunches for hungry kids—and your help is needed. Will you help fight hunger in our community with your donation of peanut, soy, sunflower or almond butter? The Foundation also accepts monetary donations. "From hand-crafted cocktails, upscale casual dining, and a clubhouse bar, to a professionally designed miniature golf course, CenterCup will be destination fun for all ages. Guests are sure to have a putting good time playing cornhole, shuffleboards, billiards, and improving their swing at golf simulators. Future CenterCup guests can choose between indoor or outdoor dining. Miniature golf will take place under the fully covered open-air outdoor putting course. As part of today's #nationalaviationday, we celebrate aerobatic champion, Betty Skelton! Butler Enterprises is built on Stengel Field, an airfield that is part of Gainesville’s rich history from the 1940’s. Stengel Field is where the tiny Aerobatic plane the Pitt’s Special was built. This tiny plane was a favorite to the U.S. Female Aerobatic Champion and power woman, Betty Skelton, who was known as the “Firsts of the First,” winning Aerobatic Championships in 1948, 1949, and 1950. She pushed the envelope in every altitude. Butler Town Center honors the history of its location with design elements reminiscent of the 1940s when the property served as Gainesville’s first school of aviation, Stengel Air Field, established 1941.
