KROSNO PLANT, BWI Group’s largest manufacturing site in Europe is celebrating 80 years of operations this year. Since its establishment in 1944 and the production of its first damper in 1958, the factory has been at the forefront of shock absorber manufacturing. The plant represents Krosno remarkable history and its contribution to the local economy and job market, playing a crucial role on the business map of Sub-Carpathian Voivodeship. Congratulations to our staff in achieving this milestone and we look forward to continue to grow on this success for many more years. Wire controlled products, including brake-by-wire and active suspension, will contribute 95% to BWI Group’s global sales by 2035. Particularly in the space of brake-by-wire, EMB (Electro-Mechanical Braking) is a key product for BWI Group and represents a key innovation. EMB technology has accumulated over 20 years of experience. Thanks to predecessor’s concept validation in 2000, the group’s technology has now evolved into its third generation. Innovative technology is what automotive world is based on. Car manufacturers are looking to provide end-customers with safer, smarter, and greener vehicles. This drives companies like BWI Group, to keep developing better suspension systems. We have just reached another level of comfort by introducing FSO - Frequency Sensitive Orifice (FSO) device. FSO system is expanding damping tunability to control high and low frequency events independently. The gain in the compromise between comfort and driving safety is easily recognizable. Ride sessions at our test tracks and at customers’ ones confirms that the improvement is remarkable.
