At the frontlines of C&W Services, extraordinary actions often occur during otherwise ordinary moments. During his overnight shift at LAX, Lead Janitor Juan Zacarias Pascual noticed something unusual: an individual had been lingering in a secured terminal area for days. While others might have missed it, Juan trusted his instincts and alerted the airport police. The investigation confirmed a serious security concern. Juan's vigilance prompted law enforcement to remove the unauthorized individual. Recently, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) police recognized Juan's quick thinking. The TSA awarded him a Certificate of Appreciation, and we gave him an Employee Appreciation Award. He also received some well-deserved gifts. C&W Services is proud to provide janitorial services across various terminals in the airport. As Juan approaches his first year with us, his story is a powerful reminder that security is a shared responsibility. As wildfires and severe winds swept across California, our teams mobilized to protect what matters most: the safety and well-being of our people, clients, and communities. Senior VP Charlotte Jensen and Senior Director Dina Dygert led a swift and coordinated response, ensuring personal check-ins with all 269 employees across the West Region. The team provided critical resources and maintained real-time communication with California leaders while coordinating closely with local authorities. Through volunteer initiatives, including supply distribution by our LA leadership team, we stood by our colleagues and clients every step of the way. Operations teams worked diligently to maintain workplace safety and facilitate smooth returns, while senior leaders actively supported the CA Wildfire Crisis Committee. In times of crisis, true leadership is about showing up for one another.
