Providing hope and support to families in crisis while reaching, teaching & developing future character-driven leaders.
About us
The C You In the Major Leagues Foundation was started in November 2013 by then-Kansas City Royals general manager Dayton Moore and his wife Marianne to support youth baseball, education, faith-based organizations and events, and families in crisis throughout the greater Kansas City area and beyond. Thanks to the support of our donors, we've granted more than $1.25 million to more than 60 organizations. Our vision is to use our C-10 Mentoring & Leadership program for high school students to develop future servant leaders, and then help these students reach their post-high school goals. In 2021, CYITML became recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity.

"Sometimes you have to stand alone." This powerful statement was one of the many invaluable lessons our C-10 students learned about CHOICES on Wednesday night. We were privileged to have Craig Woodson, Chief Administrative Officer at Cerris and one of our dedicated pinch-hitter mentors, lead an inspiring and thought-provoking discussion. Using the Habitudes book as a guide, our students engaged in meaningful conversations with their mentors about: • The critical importance of leaders making wise choices • Understanding that choices can lead to both positive and negative outcomes • The courage required to stand by one's convictions, even when standing alone These discussions not only reinforced leadership principles but also encouraged our students to think critically about their own decision-making processes. The evening concluded on a joyful note as we celebrated our first-quarter birthdays, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among our C-10 family. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Craig Woodson for sharing his expertise and insights, providing our students with real-world perspectives on leadership and decision-making. Most importantly, we want to express our sincere THANK YOU to our donors. Your generous support makes these transformative experiences possible, directly impacting the lives of our students and shaping the leaders of tomorrow. #C10Program #Leadership #MentorKCKids #KansasCity #MentoringMatters #DecisionMaking #YouthDevelopment

We're committed to providing our C-10 students with exposure to diverse perspectives and successful role models. This week, we were privileged to host Danan Hughes, former NFL wide receiver and current analyst for the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network. Danan shared invaluable insights from his professional journey, emphasizing the significant role faith has played in his life and career. His powerful message on the importance of making wise choices resonated deeply with our students and mentors alike. As we continue to shape the next generation of leaders, we're grateful for speakers like Danan who exemplify the values of perseverance, faith, and integrity. His story serves as a reminder that success is not just about athletic or professional achievements, but also about the choices we make and the way we treat others along the way. Thank you, Danan, for your time and for being an outstanding example to our C-10 family! And thank you to our donors for making this possible! #ProfessionalDevelopment #Mentorship #LeadershipLessons #C10Program #KansasCity #MentorKCKids Matt Fulks
