  • 🌿💡 Dive into the Knowledge Piece on #NatureBasedSolutions (#NBS) for sustainable #ClimateAdaptation within #CohesionPolicy, drafted by C4T's Academic Sounding Board. Authored by Prof. Dr. Erik Andersson, Prof. Dr. László Pintér, and Prof. Dr. Stefan Greiving, this piece offers essential insights for using NBS to tackle climate risks while addressing broader challenges. Key Takeaways: ➡️ NBS not only aid in climate adaptation but also enhance biodiversity, health, and reduce financial risks. ➡️ Effective NBS require risk assessments that consider multi-dimensional scenarios.  ➡️ Success depends on integrating social, ecological, and technological factors.  ➡️ Key mechanisms for NBS success include co-governance, local financing, and adaptive learning with proper monitoring. ➡️ EU directives support NBS, but barriers like land use, financing gaps, and inadequate monitoring remain challenges. Read the full Knowledge Piece here: https://lnkd.in/gPr6dCWn We are very proud of the Knowledge pieces as they are the fruit of a great partnership between our ASB members, DG REGIO and the C4T Secretariat.
