Recently, our team took a deeper dive into estate planning with a training presented by Anna Shaw, CFP®. We learned that estate planning isn’t simply for the wealthy – estate planning is crucial for everyone. Documents like wills, trusts, medical directives, and powers of attorney can speak for us when we are unable to speak or advocate for ourselves. Through a series of case studies, Anna demonstrated the importance of having an estate plan in place for people who are single, unmarried couples, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Estate planning is a key element of financial planning advice at Cable Hill Partners.
