A message from Superintendent Lee-Alva: As a former kindergarten teacher and your current superintendent, I've seen firsthand how crucial sleep is for our young learners. Adequate rest isn't just about avoiding grumpy mornings—it's a cornerstone of academic success and overall well-being. When children get enough sleep, they come to school energized, focused, and ready to absorb new information. It enhances their ability to concentrate, solve problems, and retain what they've learned. Moreover, well-rested kids tend to have better emotional regulation, leading to more positive interactions with peers and teachers. I encourage all parents to prioritize consistent bedtime routines. By ensuring our children get the rest they need, we're setting them up for success in the classroom and beyond. Let's work together to make every school day a well-rested, productive one! #HealthySleep #StudentSuccess #EducationMatters #WellRestedKids #SchoolReadiness
