Sharp ideas for brands that help people thrive.
About us
Founded in 1990, Cactus has been growing brands that help people thrive for more than thirty years. You could say we are the O.G. purpose-driven agency. We've carved out expertise in Healthcare & Behavioral Health, Retail & CPG, Financial Services, Travel & Tourism and Higher Ed and provide the full gamut of marketing and advertising services, including Brand Strategy, Creative & Design, Media & Analytics and Digital Experience. And we do it all by starting with our Belief and Behavior Design™ process, which psychology and behavior change models with good ol’ fashioned agency creativity to shape beliefs and drive behaviors to help our clients achieve their desired business outcomes. We'd love to put our Belief and Behavior Design to work for your brand. Let's get started! Give us a shout: NewBiz@Cactusinc.com Cactus is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and is taking action to create a more inclusive and welcoming workplace for all. What makes a person unique to the world around them is also what gives them their unique creative voice. We’re firm believers that breakthrough creative ideas are best developed by diverse teams who bring their unique perspectives, authentic selves, and lived experiences into all of their work. Diversity in our team yields the diversity of thought required to bring fresh creative solutions to our clients, and to create meaningful work that connects with today’s consumer. We aren’t there yet, we know we have work to do, but we are committed to change our agency and the advertising industry for the better. Those who have historically been underrepresented in the advertising and creative community are encouraged to apply and connect with us at careers@cactusinc.com.

Cactus is a proud Colorado agency and for Black History Month we wanted to celebrate the stories of several black historical figures who've made a major impact on our state and the world. 1. Lt. Col. John Mosley (1921-2015) - One of the original Tuskegee Airmen and a Denver native. He was among the first Black students to play football at Colorado State University and later became one of the first Black pilots in the U.S. Air Force. After his military service, he worked as a special assistant to multiple Colorado governors and was instrumental in promoting civil rights and equal employment opportunities in the state government. 2. Dr. Justina Ford (1871-1952) - She was Colorado's first licensed Black female doctor and practiced medicine for over 50 years in Denver. Despite facing discrimination, she delivered over 7,000 babies and treated patients of all races, nationalities, and economic backgrounds during a time of severe segregation. She was known as "The Lady Doctor" and provided care to many who were turned away from other medical facilities. 3. Barney Ford (1822-1902) - Born into slavery, he escaped via the Underground Railroad and became a prominent businessman and civil rights pioneer in Colorado. He built and owned multiple successful hotels and restaurants in Denver and Breckenridge, including the famous Inter-Ocean Hotel. Ford was also a key advocate for Black voting rights in Colorado and helped ensure that Black suffrage was included in Colorado's state constitution when it joined the Union.
