Every dollar invested towards modernizing schools should benefit students and teachers. But how do we measure that impact? Or how often do we measure that impact?   Brad Hughes, Renae Mantooth and Michael C. Stress and burnout are affecting nurses at alarming rates, leading to a shortage of these vital caregivers in health systems worldwide. That’s why HKS, Inc. created a research coalition alongside CADRE and MillerKnoll to study causes of nurse burnout and how physical space impacts stress levels. Conducted through an innovative approach, the research identifies gaps in prior research about how the built environment impacts well-being and illuminates authentic experiences that challenge dominant narratives about nurse burnout. The Inspector General's report sheds light on the inequitable impact of COVID-19 on Nursing Homes. The report featured on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) website lists the following recommendations for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services: • Re-examine current nursing staff requirements and revise them as necessary • Improve how surveys identify infection control risks to nursing home residents and strengthen guidance on assessing the scope and severity of those risks. • Target nursing homes in most need of infection control intervention, and provide enhanced oversight and technical assistance to these facilities as appropriate. https://lnkd.in/etfgjGnN
