I started at CADY a little over a year ago. From the moment I started, I felt nothing but love and acceptance from everyone I’ve met, from the moment I met them, even if their form of love is sarcasm and bullying 🤣 We celebrate the big wins, the small wins, the losses and the gains. We celebrate what makes each of us special, every single day. I have such a meaningful connection to my team. I look forward to going to work every day. I look forward to new seasons, new opportunities, and new ways of thinking. I look forward to all the ways we can inspire creativity and express the story within all of our Seniors. We have a few Core Values. Values that we embody every day and look for in all aspects. When we hire, when we train, when we take the photos and sell the photos. The small details are huge. I am fanatically passionate about creating a team and creating a bond with every family I come in contact with. These photos are memories that will last them a lifetime. I promise, when someone mentions high school, the first thing you’ll show them is your Senior photos, or your prom photos, or your sports photos, and at CADY, we do them all. We make SUCH a big impact, bigger than you think. Not every day is good, but there’s good in every day. We recently had a student pass away who had JUST gotten his photos done. The mom had passed no more than a year sooner, and the aunt was devastated. She was looking forward to getting all of his photos. We have a beautiful video that we play for the families, and that was played at his funeral. We were the hero in their story. We took the most beautiful photos for him and his family. When I hear the five core values at the leadership summit in my first few months at CADY, I knew I was in the right place. They are Inspire Creativity, Fanatically Passionate, Small Details are Huge, Be a Hero, and most importantly, Celebrate Each Other. Today, I was nominated for the Core Value Spotlight for Celebrating Each Other. The words, the recognition, the feels, the support I have received not just today, but for the last year have been nothing short of extraordinary. When I left my first job ever from a terrible manager, I swore, I would never be that man. He made all of us feel small, unimportant, and micromanaged. 10 years later, I am thriving for the company I’m working for, managing a team of 20+ ambassadors, presenters, photographers, makeup artists, and have the best support system above me. I am not just looking forward to what the next 10 years will bring, but looking back at the growth I have gained and will continue to bring to all of my employees. Thank you, CADY for this nomination, this win, and this job! I am over the moon, and ready for next season! (But let’s get through this one first lol)
