For greater resilience, sustainability, and convenience. More companies are turning to Uponor's ProPex piping systems for their major projects! #SustainableDesign #Construction #NYC
SkyHouse Apartments in Austin, TX, consists of 23 stories and 320 units. The engineering firm on this project, Jordan and Skala, focused on improving profitability and sustainability, while minimizing risk. They decided to incorporate an Uponor PEX domestic water system to meet installation, design, and performance requirements. The flexibility of PEX eliminates the need for a connection with each change in direction, adding installation efficiencies to the project, while the ProPEX® expansion connection system is fast and easy for trades to learn. Additionally, because the ProPEX system cannot be dry fit, it provides a reliable solution that minimizes risk. Jordan and Skala also knew PEX was the sustainable choice with its resistance to corrosion, pitting, and scale buildup along with its resilience in freezing conditions. Best of all, the manufacturing process for PEX saves energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions compared to alternative piping systems.
