Calaway Habeck Talent Consulting (CHTC) is a full-service Human Resources consultancy that provides innovative, effective, and creative people solutions for public and privately held national/international companies (of all sizes). Highly capable and equipped, it is eager to address human resources opportunities that achieve an organization’s goals and advances its aspirations. Jaynanne Calaway-Habeck is the principal owner of CHTC with more than 25 years of multi-industry experience. She began her profession with a large HR consultancy company, and then went on to serve as director and vice president with Panera Bread, retiring after 15-plus years as Chief People Officer for the multibillion-dollar company. She holds a bachelor’s in economics and international studies and a master’s in human resources & industrial relations. She was also an honorary labor economics scholar at Oxford University. Jaynanne is devoted to a leadership and management approach that zeroes in on motivating others to high performance with clarity and accountability. Her team of consultants and support members provide business owners and leaders with the essential advice and direction necessary during times of change and challenge. Her team focuses on identifying high-quality approaches to enable teams, projects, and initiatives that support sustainable people and business results. Our founder Jaynanne Calaway-Habeck and Consulting Director David Rasbold, SPHR were in New York City yesterday and today with our newest client Wonder. Wonder is disrupting the restaurant industry in the massive way that Panera did 25 years ago when we created the fast casual movement. After 25 years of the last major disruption, Wonder is erupting a new movement within the industry to bring an unparalleled customer experience that will scale up extremely fast. We are thrilled to be on the front end of this incredibly exciting movement/societal shift.

One of our leadership development and recruiting consultants is based here in town (many of our team are all over the country). Some days it works out for family to come hang out with us at HQ. We recently had a potential client ask us to help with enhancing company culture and employee engagement. We were pumped…that is right smack dab in the middle of our wheelhouse. As we dug further, we discovered that the CEO just wanted us to pick out tchotchkes and plan a company picnic. First of all, that’s not an efficient use of our hourly fees. 🤷🏼♀️ Secondly, those things are pretty low on the list of what actually drives employee engagement and loyalty. I recently came across a thought-provoking LinkedIn post that resonated with me deeply…because I disagree. In my 5.5 years of self-employed consulting, I've never seen it as a rat race. For me, it's all about genuine connections and letting my work speak for itself. Building client relationships rooted in past collaborations and long-term results has been incredibly rewarding. The trust I've cultivated over the decades shines through in referrals from satisfied clients and contacts. Even as my consultancy grew from solo to multi-advisor, I've stayed true to my roots. I'm just Jaynanne - an economics & finance undergraduate turned HR grad student/specialist, fueled by passion and dedication. Each step in my professional journey, from HR consulting to organizational development and executive leadership in hospitality, has been transformative. Transitioning from a demanding corporate role 5.5 years ago to focusing on family emphasized the importance of balance and purpose in my career. Our Founder Jaynanne Calaway-Habeck joined one of our favorite clients to volunteer at the St. Louis Area Foodbank last month. Fighting food insecurity has been a top priority for Jaynanne since she started working in the restaurant industry in 2003 and realized the large percentage of Americans who do not know where their next meal will come from. Thank you to our great friends at Compass Group Equity Partners for being amazing humans and caring about others. 🥰
