HEF Group has delivered the first of its newest generation cathodic arc machines to North America to support increased demand for cathodic arc coatings. This TSD 950 Cathode Arc Machine is a specialized piece of equipment used in the deposition of thin films and coatings via cathodic arc deposition. This technique is a form of physical vapor deposition (PVD) where an electric arc is used to vaporize material from a cathode target. The vaporized material then condenses on a substrate, forming a thin, durable coating. This new machine can also deposit the newest generation of monolayer, multilayer, and nanolayered PVD coatings.
