Thanks to Stu Johnson from WEKU for interviewing us about the 2nd NIJ grant that the EKU Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology received to study depth of calcination for #fireinvestigations. Dr. Shijin Kozhumal is the principal investigator for this grant that is in collaboration with Dr. Hayri Sezer from Geogia Southern University. Both Universities are relying on assistance/work by undergraduate and graduate students. We are excited to get our previous results out to the public and continue our second phase of this work. The fire investigation community as a #forensicscience can always benefit from more research-thanks to NIJ for supporting the forensic sciences!
