About us
California Rehabilitation Institute is a 138-bed all-private-room inpatient acute physical medicine and rehabilitation hospital located in the Century City area of Los Angeles. It is the largest inpatient facility of its kind on the West Coast and is a partnership of Cedars-Sinai, UCLA Health and Select Medical. Our compassionate, caring, physician-led team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and specialized nursing staff are committed 24/7 to bringing advanced acute rehabilitation care to our patients - when they need it the most. We are dedicated to helping each one of our patients recover the strength, skills and independence to return home, and to rebuild their lives. Perhaps that's one reason why U.S. News & World Report ranks California Rehabilitation Institute as one of "America's Best Hospitals." California Rehabilitation Institute provides equal employment [and affirmative action] opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability.

An exoskeleton is a wearable, battery-powered device that fits like a brace around the legs, hips and waist to assist in standing and walking. The device prevents atrophy and allows the patient to walk while also helping the brain rebuild the necessary communication link to the legs. The technology within the exoskeleton enables the device to sense the support a patient needs and adjust accordingly. The exoskeleton provides full assistance for patients who need it and less for those further along in their recovery journey. Did you know that our hospitals use an invisible solution during hygiene training? Our teams understand the importance of hand washing so we use a solution to help identify ways to improve technique. It is invisible to the naked eye and requires ultraviolet light to see. Through this approach, clinicians increase their knowledge and awareness of best handwashing practices. #HealthcareQualityWeek

Our pharmacists use advanced technology to ensure the efficient and accurate delivery of medication. The provider’s order goes directly to the pharmacist for verification and dispensing, eliminating paper charts and phone calls. #PharmacyWeek

Across our nationwide hospital network, we follow precise protocols to enhance patient safety. In recognition of Healthcare Quality Week, here are the steps we take to ensure our health care team meets and exceeds quality standards. #HealthcareQualityWeek
