We were honored to attend SOAR365's Donor Dinner recently, celebrating all the incredible work they’ve accomplished this year to ensure individuals with disabilities have access to life-fulfilling opportunities. Their innovative and collaborative efforts align perfectly with our own values. It was wonderful to see our friends at Dominion Payroll and the one and only Jeff Conley along with our Vice Chairman of our Board, Bill Thomson! #optimistic #authentic #collaborative #innovative #positive #impact #community #disabilities #workforcedevelopment

Congratulations to the The Metropolitan Business League and the amazing conference they hosted at the Greater Richmond Convention Center this week to support Women Who Mean Business! Our team met amazing RVA leaders. We learned so much from the presenters on how to flourish, thrive and most importantly support one another in our pursuit of creating goals and achieving them! And we were thankful to run into Amanda Habansky, CUDE and her leaders at Peoples Advantage Federal Credit Union who also supported the event! #authentic #optimistic #collaborative #innovative #impact #community #business #entrepreneur #heart #RVA #creditunionmovement

As part of our recent Staff Development Day, we participated in a meaningful teambuilding exercise by supporting MH Boxes, a local non-profit dedicated to empowering Black girls to embrace their mental health. Together, Call Federal Credit Union helped create 198 boxes that were delivered to Communities In Schools of Richmond, another non-profit making a difference in our community! These boxes included a collection of goodies and resources to support our youth, with an optimistic message from our staff. We're proud of the work we do in the community and the impact it makes. To learn more about either of these organizations, please check them out!

We had such an incredible time at the Philip Morris and Altria Retirees Association Annual State of the Business Meeting. We took a walk down memory lane, when our branch was just a closet at the 20th St Facility, and you only needed 25 cents to open a savings account-- how humbling. Hearing the pride these retirees have for their credit union is truly heartwarming. We're grateful for these ongoing relationships and our connection to the Greater Richmond community! We're also honored to have Board Members who are retirees; their passion is vital to our success!

We are proud to announce that we had the privilege to donate $4,179.49 to our friends at SOAR365 for their Youth Services Program. This donation represents 10% of the first month's interest for those vehicles financed with us between February and May. Stephanie Couldrey, Chief Lending Officer, said this about the donation, "At Call Federal Credit Union, we deeply desire to help make dreams come true, unite people by creating a sense of community and belonging, and demonstrate that we are all equal – equally deserving of happiness, love, care, and the opportunity to thrive." Our Business Development Manager, Sherita H. Hayes, and Hanover's Community Branch Manager, Rob Miller, did a fantastic job in representing Call Federal Credit Union at the BLCKStreet Conference earlier this week! Organized by Rasheeda Creighton of the JWC Foundation , the event provided a dynamic platform to connect with local small businesses and showcase our business accounts while being inspired by guest speakers and workshops. We're proud to have supported this impactful conference and look forward to future opportunities. As part of our ongoing commitment, we proudly champion entrepreneurs from all backgrounds, including women-owned, Hispanic-owned, Black-owned, and other underrepresented businesses.
