Earlier this week, Cameron Hospital’s Imaging department along with GE HealthCare hosted an open house to showcase our new and updated Imaging equipment. The highlight of the event being our Signa Artist Evo MRI Machine, Precision 180 Fluoroscopy System, LOGIQ E10 Series Ultrasound and Senographe Pristina. What do these big named machines do you may ask? We would love to tell you! From reduced scan times and less need for patient readjusting to increased accuracy and clearer results; our new lineup provides a range of benefits to both our patients and the Imaging team that cares for them. Congratulations to Carey Gurtner, one of Cameron's Radiologic Specialists, on being awarded the Indiana Hospital Association 'Caregiver of the Year' award for 2024! This honor is given to an individual whose performance in the delivery of care is considered exemplary by patients and peers. After noticing an irregularity during a patient's routine imaging appointment, Carey took the initiative to consult with the physician as she felt it needed further investigation. It was discovered that the patient had a rare cardiothoracic issue that led to them receiving life-saving heart surgery. The physicians noted that this issue is not usually caught until it's too late.   Join us in congratulating Carey on this extraordinary honor!
