Educating, empowering & supporting individuals with limb loss & limb differences and their families, since 2014.

About us

No Limits Foundation is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) providing structured programming at our camps for children with limb loss and differences, and their families all around the World! Camp No Limits aims to provide education, mentorship, and support to children and their families. Camp No Limits fosters a welcoming and supportive community in the hopes of helping all those who attend the camp. The very first camp took place in August 2004. It was hosted by Pine Tree Camp on their campground in Rome, Maine. Four families took a risk on something new by attending and Camp No Limits began to sprout. That small camp has only grown into something so much more, reaching across the country to provide kids and families the same care that the first camper received years ago. With the support of so many amazing people and partnerships, like Hanger Foundation, and Maine Adaptive Sports and Recreation, there are now camps all over the United States, and we are far from stopping!

What a year it has been! 🏕️ We've had the absolute pleasure of travelling across the US this year to attend all the amazing Camp No Limits activity weekends. We've made lifelong friendships, met incredible campers and volunteers and had the chance to share our Koalaa prosthetic sleeves and tools for everyone to try! Campers not only got to experience the comfort and versatility of our products but also got to take one home when they fell in love with it. From archery, cycling, football, kayaking, dancing, singing karaoke and of course enjoying s'mores by the fire - the memories we've made with Camp No Limits are unforgettable. Thank you Camp No Limits for welcoming us into your community and for giving us so many amazing moments this year. Here's to 2025 — we already miss you all 💜 #CampNoLimits #OandP #prosthetics #limbdifference #summercamp

Did you know we’re celebrating 20 years of programming? Have you ever wondered how we created our logo and how it has adapted into the heart that it is? Here is a message from our founder, Mary Leighton on what it means to her: "Reaching the 20 year milestone as the founder of this organization holds great meaning to me. It reflects the dedication, hard work, and commitment to our organization, the love and support that we provide, the countless lives we have touched. Our history signifies the countless memories and experiences that have been created along the way. I am humbled and honored to have the team of dedicated staff, volunteers, mentors and families that has supported Camp No Limits. The 20 year logo is all about the hearts of all of us, it serves as a reminder of our achievements and motivates us to continue making a positive difference in the lives of the families and community that we serve." These last 20 years were just the beginning! We couldn't grow without your continued support. We are SO EXCITED for what's to come & growing our CNL family with YOU! 🩵💚💛🧡❤️🩷 #educate #empower #support #growth #nonprofit #20thanniversary #charity #limbdifferenceawareness Learn more on how to get involved, enroll or support BELOW! https://lnkd.in/dNAHEvxV

Huge shout out to Camp No Limits, @Maine.Adaptive, Hanger, Inc., Mary Leighton, MBA, OTR/L and all the generous volunteers who made adaptive ski lessons at Sunday River in Maine possible this past weekend!! Empowering kids (like my daughter) and adults with limb difference to independently participate in the magic of athletics looks not only like skill development, but self advocacy, psychological support, inclusivity, positive representation, accessibility, and community connection. So much joy! Thank you!

Founder/Executive Director/Occupational Therapist at Camp No Limits

This is my birthday month! 🎂 🩷🎁🎈 For me 2024 will be a year of looking back on memories and feelings of nostalgia as we are entering 20 years since I founded Camp No Limits! I was in my 20’s and a new graduate Occupational Therapist. I still look back and think how? How is this possible? How did we start in Maine with just 4 campers and the passionate therapy staff from Therapy Corner that I worked with?? Fast forward to today, we have impacted thousands of lives with limb loss worldwide, we have had campers come from over 12 different countries! It has been an honor and privilege to get this far. As I think about what is next, I have to think this is still just the beginning. There are more lives to change, more families to be aware that there are “No Limits” to what is possible! We have 12 camps planned in 2024, we have plans for a mentor retreat for the young adults that serve our families, and plans build on the mentor retreat so that we can also close the gap for the “young adults” with limb loss/differences who also need community and education as well for what’s next for their life journeys. To make all of this possible, we need the support and leadership of our incredible community – staff, volunteers, healthcare professionals, campers, families, mentors, and donors like you. So, on my birthday, I'm inviting you to join me in celebrating 20 years of camp by making a donation. Together, we can continue changing lives and showing the world that there are "No Limits" to what is possible, no matter our differences. 🎂🩷🎈 If everyone donated $20 for 20 years of camp, we could fund an entire program! 💕 Please visit https://lnkd.in/gXhvUyaN to contribute and be a part of this meaningful journey. Thank you for your support and for making a difference! 🙏 #BirthdayFundraiser #20YearsOfCamp #NoLimitsFoundation
