Though stomach cancer cases are declining in older adults, cases are increasing in patients younger than 50. Researchers have found that early onset stomach cancer is genetically and molecularly distinct and typically presents as later-stage disease. There is no specific screening for stomach cancer, but symptoms can include feeling full before a meal, having reflux, feeling abdominal pain, and experiencing unintentional weight loss and trouble eating. These symptoms should be discussed with a healthcare professional to understand their cause. Are you facing questions about next steps after a cancer diagnosis? Our experts can provide answers. #CancerExpertNow #stomachcancer #gastriccancer Source: https://lnkd.in/e2dQ3USH

🫁Lung cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in the US. Did you know there are two types? Non-small cell lung cancer is more common, and small cell lung cancer, though less prevalent, is more aggressive. Screening is important to detect lung cancer in its early stages, especially for those with a history of smoking. An annual low-dose computed tomography (CT) is recommended in adults aged 50-80 years who either currently smoke, have a 20-pack-year smoking history, or stopped smoking within the past 15 years. Not familiar with “pack-year”? A pack-year can be calculated by multiplying the number of packs smoked a day by the number of years of smoking. Staying on top of screenings each year might add years to your life! #CancerExpertNow #lunghealth #lungcancerawareness #nsclc Source: https://lnkd.in/g-rm_G88
