About us
Since 1995, CanopyWorks (R) has been dedicated to habitat preservation through experiential outdoor education, and volunteering in our National Forests. Our mission is to increase environmental awareness, and to restore habitats, by providing a hands on adventure experience suitable for all ages and abilities. CanopyWorks has been the Principal GeoDesigners and builders on projects including: the building of the main trail to the top of the Arrowhead Pinnacles (now know as 3W16, in the San Bernardino National Forest), the mapping of the San Bernardino National Forest, building the canopy tour now called Big Pines Zip Lines, built sky-bridges, designed and built tree houses, done archaeological reconnaissance for historic and prehistoric sites, reconnaissance for forgotten trail networks, stream restoration, and the GeoDesigning of future holistic campgrounds, trail networks, and canopy tour educational sites. CanopyWorks is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable educational organization dedicated to designing canopy-based experiential outdoor education for all the people of the world, providing scholarships as needed, to ensure equal access to enjoying the richness Mother Nature has given us, with the long term goal of restoring “places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.”
