You can also make an impact by becoming a sponsor and providing gift cards for larger families. Drop off your basket at our open house or donate online to help us make a difference! Head to bit.ly/BoH2024 to learn more! Together, let’s bring hope and warmth to families in our community. #BasketsOfHope #CAPAcares

Voting for CAPA in Lifted Logic’s $60,000 website giveaway would make a big difference for kids and families in our community. Here’s why it matters: 🤝 Better Access to Help: A new website would make it easier for families to find the support they need and for others to learn how to help out. 🔎Easier to Use: An updated website would help people quickly find information about CAPA’s programs, ways to get involved, and how to donate—all of which help us reach more people. 👶More Support for Kids: Winning means CAPA can spend more on helping kids instead of on website costs, so every dollar goes further. Vote here: https://lnkd.in/gj_wzqQ8 Your vote brings us closer to a stronger, more supportive community. Thanks for helping CAPA make a difference! #CAPAcares #LLCodeForACause

Today, on Indigenous Peoples' Day, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the significance of cultural humility and the learning journey we're on as an organization. Embracing cultural humility means recognizing and respecting the diverse backgrounds and experiences of the communities we live in. This is a continuous process, and we’re committed to growing and learning every step of the way. #IndigenousPeoplesDay #CulturalHumility #CAPACares

We want to wish a huge congratulations to Lindsey Neely, LMSW, our new Community Education Manager. In addition to interning with our Community Education department for the past year, Lindsey has also been the Program Support Specialist at our Blue Ridge office. She's worn lots of hats and helped every one of our programs to be more successful and better serve our community. Lindsey said, "I was able to combine my love for community service and education with CAPA's focus on people and strengths. Working in Community Education has been a true passion for me, and I think that shows in my dedication." Lindsey, we're overjoyed to have you as our new Community Education Manager. We know you'll do great things, and can't wait to see where you take the program from here! #CAPATeam #Leadership #Promotion #CAPAcares

Last night, I was blessed to have an incredible night with a few members of the BEST team anyone could wish for. The Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA) is truly blessed to have a supportive board of directors, empathetic and passionate staff, and the most amazing community partners like the Truman Heartland Community Foundation. We were so honored to receive the Heartland Service Award. The night was made extra special by getting to share space with my sister and mentor Rochelle P.. I have appreciated learning from her the power and freedom of showing up everywhere (the office, board rooms, galas, Target, the hair salon, etc.) as my full, deeply connected, authentic self. So much joy and gratitude. 🩷 #CAPACares #JoyfulService #Teamwork
