Thank you to the CAPES Person Centered Design Unit Leads Ben Gerber and Bengisu Tulu for sharing this exciting event, the UX Symposium with the theme "AI and User-Centered Innovations" on 11/20/2024! We're thrilled to see Soussan Djamasbi's workshop on eye tracking and look forward to learning more from industry experts and applying this learning to inform technology translation of evidence-based suicide care. Cost is $99 for professionals and $25 for students, and includes a full day of workshops and networking reception at Worcester Polytechnic Institute WPI Business School at the WPI Rubin Campus Center, right down the road from UMass Chan Medical School. This has been an exceptional event. Thank you Pamela Greenberg for inviting me to present on #ZeroSuicide at this conference and to celebrate your career and very deserved retirement. I learned a new term here: "patient obsessed"! We want our health care providers and systems to be patient obsessed, transforming access, using evidence based practices, offering treatment when, where, and how patients want it.

Multiple members of CAPES' faculty and staff are presenting at UMass Chan Medical School's annual Psychology Day. We're excited for opening remarks from Drs. Kimberly Yonkers (Katz Family Chair of Psychiatry) and Mary Ahn (Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs), Keynotes from Drs. Megan Kelly (Director of iSPARC), Amanda Jensen-Doss (Direct of Clinical Training, Dept of Psychology, University of Miami), Amy Williams (Director of GME Well-Being, Henry Ford Health and President Elect of the Association of Psychologists in Academic Health Centers). We're also especially looking forward to Drs. Rachel Davis-Martin, Kate Pivovarova, and Sohye Kim's roudtable on integrative science and research. Finally, Dr. Lourah Kelly and her two staff members, Nancy Hu and Sam Hersh, will be presenting posters on EA-Avatar. Looking forward to "Moving Psychology Forward: Advancing Care and Training Through Innovation" at today's annual Psychology Day!

Lourah Kelly and Rachel Davis-Martin are leading an Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk for Health and Behavioral Health Professionals in Outpatient Settings (AMSR) tomorrow October 23rd 2024. These trainings are held in person twice per year. AMSR teaches best practices recommended by the nation's leading experts in the research and delivery of suicide care and helps support our clinicians in delivering evidence-based suicide screening and assessment, to help drive patient-centered suicide care.
