Unidos, an employee-led Capital Community, has coordinated events for associates to get involved in throughout the month, with an emphasis on belonging. From community outreach to salsa dance lessons and career workshops, there’s something for everyone. Capital Cares is a program that empowers Capital Group associates to give back to their communities through charitable donations to nonprofits of their choice, volunteerism and nonprofit board service. Associates in Los Angeles recently partnered with My Friend’s Place, an organization that helps youth experiencing homelessness move towards wellness, stability and self-sufficiency. One highlight for Marketing Specialist Bria Richardson was playing basketball with the young adults. “On the court, past circumstances fade away, replaced by present communication, hard work, and resilience. The young men I played with exhibited extraordinary determination and teamwork. I hope they carry with them the relentless, unwavering support and encouragement from their teammates. As we recently marked Capital Group’s 93rd year, we took a look back in our corporate archives and found something special: a price book from 1947¬—1951. This hand-written book was used to record the Investment Company of America strategy’s net asset value (NAV) twice a day as part of its early accounting process. This is just one example of the artifacts, interviews, documents, and images the Capital Group #CorporateArchives team has preserved to highlight the firm’s rich history and legacy to carry forward. #CapGroupGlobal

Capital Group’s associate-driven giving and volunteering programs are an expression of how we value community and empower associates to make meaningful contributions to the causes they are passionate about. Through Associate Involvement Grants, Capital Group provides funding to eligible nonprofits where associates are involved in a significant capacity as board members, committee members or ongoing volunteers. Grant amounts are based on involvement level or volunteer hours. Talent Acquisition Advisor Lead Parveen Coomar (pictured) is a board member of the National Kidney Foundation. “Capital Group has provided $106,000 over the past five years due to my involvement with the foundation,” Parveen says. ➡️In 2023, 685 Capital Group associates directed $17.2 million in grants to more than 600 organizations. #CapGroupGlobal
