Offering the latest advance in minimally invasive surgery to restore function to damaged aortas, vascular surgeons at Capital Health recently performed the region’s first branched thoracic endovascular aortic repair (branched TEVAR). This new minimally invasive procedure can repair a damaged aorta through a small entry in the femoral artery, which means faster recovery and decreased risk for complications. This procedure is now available at Capital Health for patients diagnosed with aortic disease or injury. Learn more here: https://bit.ly/3LGcMkx.

Capital Health was a proud sponsor of the Anchor House Foundation’s Ride for Runaways, an annual 500-mile, 7-day cycling challenge which benefits abused, runaway and homeless youth in the Trenton community. Special thanks to everyone from Capital Health who participated in the ride and helped raise more than $15,000 for this great cause, including Dr. Armen Simonian and his wife Sally, Dr. David Rosvold and his wife Elizabeth, Kyeisha Frink, and Lisa Cairo.

More than 30 students from Trenton schools recently visited Capital Health Regional Medical Center as part of the Trenton Junior Public Safety Academy. Made possible through a grant from Capital Women in Philanthropy, this program helps Trenton students ages 12 to 16 learn about public safety education and community service to engage them with hands-on training and skills to last a lifetime. Thanks to President and CEO Al Maghazehe, the Capital Health Foundation, and teams from our Clinical Education, Radiology, Respiratory, Emergency Medical Services, and Trauma departments for making this event possible!
