Carbon America is proud to announce that our novel cryogenic carbon capture technology, FrostCC™, has successfully completed 1,000 hours of carbon capture while proving the ability to remove co-pollutants from flue gas. “The prospects of this breakthrough technology inspired Carbon America’s founding, and we’re excited to see it realized. It has been inspiring to watch it go from a concept to an engineering-scale pilot that has achieved material results,” said Brent Lewis, CEO and Co-Founder of Carbon America. https://lnkd.in/gS3SN_U5

We were pleased to join with Carbon America to host a Deep Dive for project managers and leaders from the DOE's Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management and National Energy Technology Laboratory. This session provided an update on the results from months of testing Carbon America’s innovative FrostCC™ technology at the National Carbon Capture Center (NCCC). As DOE's primary carbon management research facility, the NCCC is dedicated to advancing technologies that can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Carbon America’s FrostCC™ is a groundbreaking cryogenic carbon capture system that effectively removes CO2 from flue gas by cooling it. During its 1,000-hour NCCC testing period at the NCCC, FrostCC™ successfully demonstrated its ability to capture CO2 and other pollutants from flue gas, validating the process and models for its design. This type of technical analysis is a key step in the technology development process at the NCCC and helps inform research that advances the commercial deployment of carbon capture solutions like FrostCC. We were grateful to have Carbon America’s Chief Technology Officer Miles Abarr, R&D Program Management Director Scott Palmer and Senior Engineer Jeffrey Young present the findings. #carboncapture #cleanenergytech #CCUS #energycollaboration
