Job security! That was the prayer that my dad told me that he prayed for me every time I spoke with him. This was the guy who spent 22 years at the University of South Florida in one role, retired and then went back to USF to work for several more years. I tried to explain to him that in the Biotech and Pharma industry, layoffs as well mergers and acquisitions are a fact of life. During my first MSL role, I was hired for a product that didn't get approved. Fortunately, there were other medications to support or it could have been a really short career in Pharma!
