Our 2024 New Grad Cohort has arrived! Join us in welcoming them to the CareVet Team. Dr. Graham Smith grew up in and around Houston, Texas. His wife, Priscilla, and he met in a chemistry class at his Mississippi College (MC) undergraduate school. After completing his bachelor’s degree at MC, he worked in Cumming, GA as a veterinary technician before moving back to Mississippi to complete his DVM at Mississippi State University. While at Mississippi State University, he was put through their rigorous 2 and 2 program, which is designed to give new graduates leadership experience after graduation. During his final year of school, he took a variety of advanced rotations, including advanced surgery, dentistry, gastroenterology, cytology, and exotic animal medicine. His focus areas are small animal medicine and surgery, dentistry, cytology, geriatric care, and exotic animal medicine (small mammals, reptiles, and avian). He looks forward to bringing his veterinary medicine practice to Goldsboro. During his off hours, he can usually be found outdoors or working on small projects. He and his wife have three dogs: Thor, Senta, and Georgia. They also have a cat, Baby Cakes, and two sulcate tortoises, Albert and Daisy. They are looking forward to exploring North Carolina and growing to know Wayne County and those who call it home. We can't wait to see Dr. Smith thrive in his career!
