We're excited and honored to share that Carewell has been featured in the Forbes article "You Won’t Believe The 4 Surprising Sacrifices Workers Will Make For Flexibility," authored by Bryan Robinson, Ph.D. This recognition highlights our commitment to supporting working caregivers who face the complex challenge of balancing work and caring for their loved ones. These insights resonate deeply with us at Carewell as we continue to advocate for better support for working caregivers. A significant 53% of respondents have already made significant career sacrifices due to their caregiving responsibilities, with a willingness to accept a 40% pay cut for increased flexibility. Such sacrifices demonstrate the profound dedication of caregivers, who also wish for more flexible work hours or remote options, as indicated by nearly 70% of respondents. This feature underscores the need for employers to prioritize flexibility and accommodations, as 42% of working caregivers regularly navigate conflicts between their professional and caregiving roles.
