Last night, we dressed up and joined many other Industry Partners to honor 50 years of INARF (Indiana Association of Rehabilitation Facilities). INARF is the principal membership organization in Indiana representing providers of services to people with disabilities. INARF is deeply committed to strengthening the system of services and supports for Hoosiers with disabilities. The work that INARF does makes a massive impact in our field and makes it easier for us to ‘Turn Abilities Into Opportunities’ each day. Our Early Head Start team had the privilege of being part of the 2024 National Head Start Fall Leadership Institute this week! We visited Senator Young's, Senator Braun's, and Congresswoman Spartz's offices on Capitol Hill, advocating for increased funding and support for prenatal mothers, infants, toddlers, and early intervention services. Thank you to the Senators and Congresswoman for investing their staff time to meet with us! We appreciate your attention and allowing for us to be heard. Finally, we want to highlight the work of our very own Robyn Duffy, who was Indiana’s State Captain and did a fantastic job advocating for the families we serve! Today we celebrated 8 individuals for their successful completion of the Catapult Indiana - Advanced Manufacturing Training program at Carey Services. This program from Conexus Indiana provides training for careers in manufacturing and participates can earn credits at Ivy Tech Community College. The first cohort in the program at Carey Services spent the last 6 months learning and improving their skills. All individuals successfully completed the course and 2 have earned college credits! Thank you Conexus Indiana, CICP Foundation, and Don Wood Foundation for making this program possible. You are "Turning abilities into opportunities!"
