Earlier this fall, Carle Health Continuing Education team members Skielyr Viken, Kari Young, and Danielle Lawler welcomed health professionals from Central Illinois for the Illinois Cancer Symposium. The Illinois Cancer Symposium is one of the many programs the Carle Health Continuing Education team offers to empower today’s health professionals and lead to better care for all our patients. “Healthcare is constantly evolving with new treatments, technologies, and best practices. Providing continuing education ensures that healthcare professionals stay current with these advancements, which is essential for providing high-quality patient care. Carle Health offers interprofessional continuing education (IPCE), where members from different healthcare professions learn together, which also fosters a culture of teamwork and continuous improvements.” -Danielle Lawler, MSN, RN, CMSRN, Continuing Education Coordinator For more information about Continuing Education at Carle Health, visit: https://lnkd.in/gdP_w2MD

A butterfly, a knight and even twin peas in a pod made appearances on Halloween at Carle Foundation Hospital. Even the tiniest babies can celebrate the spirit of Halloween at Carle Foundation Hospital’s NICU. Staff who work with the babies each day in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit received permission from their families to dress up the babies in their own costumes. Hundreds of babies pass through the NICU each year receiving the best care from exemplary staff.🧡

More people die of lung cancer every year than breast, prostate and colon cancer diagnoses combined. In fact, Lung cancer is the No. 1 cause of cancer-related deaths.
