For our third annual Menopause in the Workplace report, we surveyed 2,000 millennial and Gen X women to understand menopause's impact on working women of different generations. While the majority of millennials (88%) and Gen X women (81%) agree that career growth and advancement are important to them, the report reveals that millennials have a higher concern for the impact menopause will have on their careers. Among respondents, 61% of millennials are concerned about going through menopause while working and an even higher majority are planning for such a challenge, with 75% believing management of menopause symptoms at work will be a moderate or serious challenge. "In benefits, employees are very quick to give you negative feedback, and it’s very rare that you hear the positives. But when it comes to Carrot, we continue to get a resounding, positive response — people keep telling others how awesome it is." Thank you to Tracy Clemente, SHRM-CP for her powerful insights on the benefits space and why it's important to advocate for expanded fertility care at work. #HR #benefits #fertilitycare #healthcare #fertilitybenefits #healthplans #hrbenefits

"It's important for people to know what all of their options are. There are no two identical pregnancy journeys. And not all care is created equal." Asima Ahmad, MD, MPH, FACOG, our Chief Medical Officer, joined Elaine Welteroth from birthFUND and Maneet Ahuja from Forbes for an important discussion about maternal health access at last week's Power Women's Summit. Asima shared how we support Carrot members on their pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting journeys. Most recently, that includes CarrotMatch, the first pregnancy navigation system to match members with the highest-quality providers in their area. We've also expanded our support through virtual care teams, including doulas, midwives, grief counselors, nutritionists, and more to help fill gaps in maternal care. Elaine has also used her platform to advocate for better maternal healthcare access. She launched birthFUND earlier this year and has already raised over $1.3M for women and families seeking midwifery care. "From day one, we wanted to reset the mindset that fertility benefits, not infertility benefits, were going to be more inclusive for all paths to parenthood. Not only that, but fertility benefits would be more than just IVF and IUI coverage; instead, they would include a view of someone's lifelong hormonal health journey, from fertility to pregnancy, to postpartum and well into their later years, including menopause and low testosterone for men." In this insightful video, Asima Ahmad, MD, MPH, FACOG, Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at Carrot Fertility, breaks down key distinctions in fertility benefits to help HR leaders make informed decisions for their organization. #fertilitycareforall #HR #employeebenefits
