Career Academy Network of Public Schools

Today marked the State of the Organization address for the Career Academy Network of Public Schools. Superintendent Lugbill outlined the objectives and aspirations for the upcoming year and beyond, setting a clear direction for the Networks's  future. During the event, teachers and staff members were honored for embodying the organization's Core Values, receiving certificates and school-themed merchandise as tokens of appreciation. The highlight of the gathering was the address by our distinguished guest speaker, Kathy Burnette, from Brain Lair Books. Kathy emphasized the critical importance of ensuring all students have access to books. She also highlighted the necessity of fostering a culture of inclusion, which is essential for the success of every student. Her insights underscored the vital role that educational equity and inclusivity play in the academic and personal development of students. The remainder of the day will be teacher/parent conferences and then fall break.   Student return on October 21.

Today was an incredibly exciting day for our school! Career Academy High School and Middle School has been honored with the recognition as a SafePlace by the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joe County. This fantastic achievement aligns perfectly with the YSB's inspiring goal to ensure that all youth have access to safety, shelter, and the opportunity to thrive. A huge congratulations to all the dedicated staff who made this wonderful accomplishment possible. Well done, everyone! 🌟

🌟 Did you miss the Power Up with Pasta last night, here is the recap! 🌟  On Tuesday night we hosted our "Power Up with Pasta" event, designed to empower our middle school parents with all the tools they need to stay engaged in their child's educational journey through PowerSchool! 📚✨  👩💻 Tech Support: Our amazing CANOPS IT team was on-site, helping with account creation and troubleshooting, while dedicated teacher volunteers provided a step-by-step PowerSchool walkthrough. 👶 Kid's Corner: We set up a special space for the little ones to play, so parents could focus on learning! 🎨🧸 🍝 Dinner Time: A big shoutout to Olive Garden in Mishawaka for their generous donation of 200 breadsticks, fresh salads, salad dressing, and croutons!
