Corporate sponsors are vital in Equipping Teachers to Engage Students with CASE 4 Learning. Twenty-seven teachers attended CASE Institutes this summer with scholarships from John Deere. Caitlin Foster, Agriscience teacher at Chippewa Falls High School, attended the CASE Intro to Ag, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) Institute at Pontiac Township High School this past June. Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE 4 Learning) is a system of instructional support for the classroom teacher like no other resource in agricultural education. The CASE 4 Learning model provides four major support areas to promote solid classroom instruction using rigorous and relevant lessons to enhance student learning. The four areas of teacher support are curriculum, professional development, assessment, and certification. Each area contributes to the validity of CASE instructional materials by ensuring that teachers are adequately equipped and trained and that student learning is accountable. Student Teacher Placement in CASE Certified Teacher Classroom Pre-service teachers may access and teach CASE curricula under the mentorship and supervision of the CASE-certified teacher during their student teaching placement. The cooperating CASE-certified teacher is responsible for arranging access to the curriculum via print or electronically while under their supervision. Are you new to your school district and replacing a CASE Certified teacher? The CASE Teacher Transition Policy and Probationary Access can help bridge the gap until the new teacher is fully certified, maintaining student instructional program consistency. CASE certification is the property of the teacher who completes CASE professional development. It stays with a teacher throughout their career, regardless of their place of employment. Did you complete a CASE pre-service certification? Pre-service students who completed a CASE Institute before July 1, 2024, must finalize their certification to gain full access to the curriculum. Finalizing their certification also allows pre-service teachers to gain lifetime access to the curriculum. Teachers must fill out the Curriculum Access Request form to finalize their certification. Kick off the school year with full access to your curriculum!
