About us
Catalpa Health is a pediatric mental health and wellness organization that serves kids, teens and their families across Northeastern Wisconsin. Founded as a collaboration by Ascension Wisconsin, Children's Wisconsin and Thedacare in 2012 to reduce barriers, eliminate stigma, provide a full continuum of care and emerge as a center of excellence dedicated to providing outpatient pediatric mental health services for children and teens, ages birth – 18. Services offered include individual and family counseling; group therapy; medication management, psychological and neuropsychological testing; and concussion testing. We know kids and teens. We see their worries, their wishes, the pressures they're under. We know how important and child's mental health and wellness is to living everyday life, and to relationships within the family.

This summer, Reach Out and Read Wisconsin donated over 40 teen and young adult books collected at a book drive hosted by Appleton North High School students. These books are available to clients and families in our lobby, giving them something to look forward to and enjoy while waiting for their appointment. One of our team members shared this about families having access to books: "I love seeing the excitement of kids and parents when we tell them they can pick out a book, especially because it is unexpected. Books are so fantastic because the kids and parents will sit and read them in the lobby while they are waiting – double bonus with them reading, the lobby is more calm!" We are so grateful for community partners like Reach Out and Read Wisconsin who help us provide access to comprehensive care outside of our standard mental health services!
