Giving people with physical disabilities access to the life changing impact of adventure and community!
About us
Our mission is to give people with physical disabilities access to the life changing impact of adventure within a supportive and inclusive community. Catalyst Sports is a chapter based, volunteer run 501c3 non-profit organization that acts as an agent of change in the lives of people with disabilities and our communities. Adventure sports provide a fun and exciting platform for challenging ourselves mentally, physically and emotionally. When this challenge takes place alongside a supportive and encouraging community of people, we all discover our abilities, our need for each other and the importance of living active and healthy lives. Each chapter has a unique community of participants and volunteers that run weekly, bi-weekly or monthly adventure programs throughout the year that consist of rock climbing, kayaking, mountain biking and hiking programs. Check out our website to find a chapter near you!

The more access we have, the better the quality of life for people that have physical challenges," Kaleb Wallace said. We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to partner with the Nantahala Outdoor Center to bring an exciting new adaptive adventure to the community! https://lnkd.in/ehnGTzuT

"I can't do some of these things without you guys" Our goal is to create independence but sometimes that means you need a little help along the way. This new overnight adaptive kayaking program does just that. Helps when needed and provides an experience unlike any other in the southeast. Comment below if you want to support us as a Catalyst Champion so that we can make more of these programs happen in the future. https://lnkd.in/eXuTQ6qY

It always breaks our hearts when we provide someone with a life-changing experience but cannot make it last. However, we know there are foundations, companies, and individuals that can impact this young boy's life today. As a community lets make this happen.
Are you familiar with Muscular Dystrophy? Many young boys won't make it past the age of 16. At a recent festival, hosted by a physical therapy clinic on the Westside of Atlanta, this boy experienced the joy of riding a Catalyst Sports bike for the first time. Now, his clinic is seeking ways to fund a bike for him so he can enjoy this newfound freedom for as long as possible. Imagine the impact of just one bike! Over the past couple of years, we have had the privilege of working with Joshua Barill, PMOSH, GSP, and Georgia Power Company's MVP program to discuss the topic of mental health. This is a topic that can never be discussed enough, especially amongst our veteran population. GP has incredible resources internally for their employees and we are thankful to sit next to Camp Southern Ground and Project Healing Waters to share about additional resources in the community. #mentalhealth Southern Company

"I feel like I can be with everybody else at the same level as everybody else" -Adaptive Athlete What an amazing feeling for someone who is typically looked down on when in a wheelchair. Kayak season is here and we just finished our first overnight kayaking adventure of the year on the Tennessee River. We could not have done this with out the support of Tennessee Valley Authority, REI, Cabela's, and our friends at Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors
