Great News: Two Conformity Assessment Bodies Now Supporting Catena-X! We are excited to announce that TÜV SÜD has been appointed as a Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for Catena-X! With two CABs now in place, companies have now the freedom of choice to certify their solutions, ensuring interoperability, data sovereignty, and compliance with Catena-X standards. This is a major milestone for the ecosystem, strengthening trust, transparency, and scalability in secure data exchange. Independent verification is key to ensuring that Catena-X solutions deliver real business value while meeting regulatory and industry requirements. With this addition, Catena-X participants can accelerate their certification process and confidently integrate into the data ecosystem. Scaling Catena-X Internationally: Strengthening Collaboration in China Last week, we wrapped up our 7th delegation trip to China in just 24 months, reinforcing our commitment to global collaboration on data spaces. Alongside Manufacturing-X, International Data Spaces Association (IDSA), and Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz, we had insightful discussions in Beijing and Shanghai (Feb 20-25) about digital trust, interoperable data spaces, and real-world use cases.   We met with key stakeholders like the National Data Bureau (NDA), CAICT, MIIT, Tongji University, CAAM, and many European industry representatives from VDMA, ZVEI e. V., Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) e.V., Deutsche Auslandshandelskammern (AHK), Fraunhofer ISST, the German Embassy, and the EU Commission. One thing is clear: scaling trusted data ecosystems requires a joint effort between industry, government, and research - and we’re making it happen!   "Our 7th China delegation visit underscored it once again: A scalable and trusted data ecosystem can only succeed when government, industry and academic institutions work together. Our Catena-X strategy fully aligns with Chinas 100 Data Spaces strategy and lays the foundation for deeper collaboration. ❗ Attention Solution Providers: TISAX Level 2 Mandatory by July 2025 To strengthen security and compliance across the Catena-X ecosystem, we are introducing mandatory TISAX Level 2 certification requirements for all solution providers. This ensures a trusted and secure multi-tier data exchange across the entire value chain, reinforcing our commitment to data sovereignty and interoperability. All Business Application Providers (BAP), Onboarding Service Providers (OSP), and Enablement Service Providers (ESP) must be TISAX Level 2 certified by July 2025. Core Service Providers (A and B) are required to comply with TISAX Level 3. A 12-month grace period applies to ensure a smooth transition.
