Bluejay is proud to have successfully prepared a $6.9 million Federal Railroad Administration Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (#CRISI) grant application to fund needed improvements to two bridges on Belpre Industrial Parkersburg Railroad’s (BIP) mainline in Ohio and West Virginia, including the 118-year-old historic B&O Sixth Street Railroad Bridge crossing the Ohio River. More exciting developments for the BIP!

Excited to announce a new multi-site carload operation that commenced this week for a new-to-rail customer and commodity: • Two (2) origin truck-to-rail transloading sites now operated by Cathcart on two (2) partner shortline railroads, where we currently perform interchange repair agent duties; • The final destination for unloading is being built on Cathcart’s Belpre Industrial Parkersburg Railroad, so we are providing the interim rail-to-truck transloading; and • A Cathcart fleet lessor customer provided the initial 120 railcars to commence this five (5) railcar per day movement, with the railcars first being prepped in Cathcart’s repair facilities. With a special thanks to Cathcart’s Class I partners as well. Here are both our origin and destination transloading operations, into the railcar and back to truck.
