As we wind down from the 2024 RACE FOR CATHERINE, we wanted to send one more thank you to everyone who participated and supported us along the way. Over the weekend, you sent a signal to the world that goodness does prevail, smiles do abound, and humans are truly kind! 535 joined from near and far, logging just over 1,500 miles to support our ongoing programs. Check out all the smiles and pictures from the race here: https://lnkd.in/entad6Er Thank you again for making the 4th annual RACE FOR CATHERINE truly remarkable. And don't forget to mark your calendars for next year’s race on October 10-12, 2025! Photo by Bill Glass

Honoring the bond between animals, humans and the environment, we're creating a kinder and gentler world for all
About us
We are a Connecticut-based nonprofit organization working to promote compassion and healing through human-animal connection, founded in 2013 to commemorate and honor the life of Catherine Violet Hubbard, a six-year-old victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. Catherine always said that one day she would care for animals and that nurturing them was her passion. If she were with us today, there is no doubt she would have realized her dream to work with and care for animals. In 2014, the Catherine Violet Hubbard Foundation was awarded over 34 acres of state farmland by a unanimous vote from the Connecticut State House of Representatives and Senate, which would become home to the Catherine Violet Hubbard Sanctuary. The sanctuary pays tribute to Catherine and her spirit of kindness towards all living things by honoring the bond between humans, animals and the environment.
